The usual good turnout of golfers benefited from another beautiful spring Sunday at the Waimarino Golf Club.


Krishane (Goldie) Edmonds played his best round ever in the perfect conditions, shooting a gross 77 and scoring 44 points.


Phil Connolly finished second with 41 points and won the stableford jackpot which he generously donated to the helicopter rescue service, after shouting the bar.


The consistent Adam Hinana finished third.


Wally Hayes and Andy Entwisle scored twos.


Steve Pitts won his match in the Intermediate Club Championships and Graham Murdie progressed to the second round in the Junior Club Championships.


Next Sunday the prestigious Shakespeare Trophy will be played for.

All members are welcome to compete for this impressive trophy.

Tee off will be at the later time of 12.30pm due to daylight saving.


The annual King Country Championships will be played at Waitomo this year.

Waimarino has two teams travelling on Friday 5th October,

to compete in this long running competition between the clubs that made up the King Country region.
